No Cost Groceries to Vulnerable
    Due to the State wide lock down to prevent the spread of COVID 19 – almost all human life has become panic. Continuous unemployment has created starvation among daily wage labour especially vulnerable like widows, destitute elderly, sanitary workers, physically challenged and orphan children become pathetic.   


In order to save the life of most vulnerable, so far we have identified 1971 people through Virudhunagar, Ramnad and Tuticorin District administrations, Farmer Producer Company Limited like SEEDS, Ramanar, Viludhugal and Ramnad. They have been supported with Nutritious Non Pesticide Management groceries worth Rs.1000 at free of cost.

Mr. R.Kannan, District Collector Virudhunagar, Mr. B.Rajasureswaran DDM of NABARD, President of concerned Village Panchayaths and the Chairman and CEOs of Farmer Producer Companies have participated in the distribution function and appreciated the timely effort of Relief Poor. 
 


Implementation Team

Under the leadership of Mr.SD. Pandian, Secretary of SEEDS there are 30 staff including 12 women involved in purchasing, packaging and distribution work with necessary precautionary health care measures. The team has been working for more than 10 hours and reaching to a radius of 10-40 KM per day.        


Impacts of the Project

ü Vulnerable lead their daily life free from worries and hungry. 
          ü No.of people stay home has been increased.
         ü Health consciousness among rural people has been increased by using hand wash, face mask, keep social distance and keep environment clean.       
     ü People follow and support the Government rules and regulations related to COVID-19.
       ü Volunteerism emerged among the community to support the poor and needy.
       ü People start respects and follow the Doctors, Police and Service Sector people.

Planning Meet during the Lock Down

After a 60 days long gab due to the country wide Lock Down for the prevention of COVID-19, a Planning Meet for the top level SEEDS Resource Institution staff was held at Mallankinar under Virudhunagar District on 25 th May 2020. The Secretary, Project Co-ordinators, Trainers, Chief Executive Officers of Farmer Producer Organisation and Project Managers were actively participated.    The meeting has discussed about the underlined major work loads in the project heads and evolved possible solutions to complete it within the stipulated time with personal care.    1.    Mobilisation of share holders. 2.    Meeting the legal compliance. 3.    Business plan preparation and execution with close monitoring. 4.    Value addition intra-devt/finance investment. Long term support vs subsidy or team loan. 5.    Moving towards financial sustainability. 6.    Availing new proposals which are all existing in all the Government. 7.    Linking with other FPOs in business

Dry Ration and Food for 50 Nomadic Tribal Families - Thanks to ASSEFA Madurai

SEEDS proudly announce in its 25 th Silver Jubilee Year Celebration, ASSEFA MADURAI – one of the long time partners of SEEDS organisation has come forward to support our Donate Now initiative with Rs.50, 000.  We have identified 50 Nomadic Tribes families in Panickanenthal village near Kariyapatti under Virudhunagar District and they provided with “NO Cost Home Products of Groceries” each worth Rs.1000 during this country wide lock down to prevent the killing disease COVID-19.     Our Sincere thanks to partner ASSEFA MADURAI for their valuable contribution to the needy at this crucial life time.    SEEDS jointly with Inbam Foundation, Kariyapatti provided food for 50 Nomadic Tribal Families in Panickanenthal village to relieve from the hunger.
