Distribution Function of “No Cost Groceries of Home Pack” to Vulnerable People affected by the COVID-19.


As you all know one of SEEDS long time funding partner “SAMUNNATI “, Chennai –has funded our Donate Now initiative with Rs.500, 000 for supporting 500 vulnerable people including widows, abandoned children and destitute elderly people with “No Cost Groceries of Home Pack” each worth Rs.1000 during this country wide lock down to prevent the killing disease COVID-19, we have inaugurated the distribution function in a small way.   


Mr. B.Rajasureswaran DDM of NABARD Virudhunagar and Mr.SD.Pandian the Secretary of SEEDS distributed the Groceries of Home Pack to 36 vulnerable beneficiaries including 4 men who are selected from Pommakottai, Savvaspuram, Melakandamangalam, Kulasekaranallur, Kullampatti, and Panaiyur villages with the help of the Village Panchayath as per their socio-economical survey.


The DDM- NABARD in his address he expressed happiness over the timely livelihood support to the vulnerable people. He explained some of the COVID -19 preventive health practices to the participants.  The Secretary of SEEDS expressed happiness over the smile of the beneficiaries and thanked the SAMUNNATI for the valuable support to reach out poor people around us.


Earlier Mrs R.Kalavathi the Chairman RAMANAR Farmer Producer Company Limited thanked the innovative initiative of SEEDS in her welcome address. Mr. S. Pandiaraj Project Coordinator of SEEDS Resource Institution and Mr.K.Seemaichamy the CEO Ramanar FPCL have organised the function.

With tears, the beneficiaries have expressed their happiness from the bottom of the heart and thanked the SEEDS, SAMUNNATI and RAMANAR FPCL for the timely help.

After a 60 days long gab due to the country wide Lock Down for the prevention of COVID-19, a Planning Meet for the top level SEEDS Resource Institution staff was held at Mallankinar under Virudhunagar District on 25 th May 2020. The Secretary, Project Co-ordinators, Trainers, Chief Executive Officers of Farmer Producer Organisation and Project Managers were actively participated.    The meeting has discussed about the underlined major work loads in the project heads and evolved possible solutions to complete it within the stipulated time with personal care.    1.    Mobilisation of share holders. 2.    Meeting the legal compliance. 3.    Business plan preparation and execution with close monitoring. 4.    Value addition intra-devt/finance investment. Long term support vs subsidy or team loan. 5.    Moving towards financial sustainability. 6.    Availing new proposals which are all existing in all the Government. 7.    Linking with other FPOs in business

Dry Ration and Food for 50 Nomadic Tribal Families - Thanks to ASSEFA Madurai

SEEDS proudly announce in its 25 th Silver Jubilee Year Celebration, ASSEFA MADURAI – one of the long time partners of SEEDS organisation has come forward to support our Donate Now initiative with Rs.50, 000.  We have identified 50 Nomadic Tribes families in Panickanenthal village near Kariyapatti under Virudhunagar District and they provided with “NO Cost Home Products of Groceries” each worth Rs.1000 during this country wide lock down to prevent the killing disease COVID-19.     Our Sincere thanks to partner ASSEFA MADURAI for their valuable contribution to the needy at this crucial life time.    SEEDS jointly with Inbam Foundation, Kariyapatti provided food for 50 Nomadic Tribal Families in Panickanenthal village to relieve from the hunger.
